Health and Safety Representative Training (HSR) – 5 Day Course NSW Only
This five (5) day SafeWork NSW approved training course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfil their role as Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs), meeting the requirements of the legislation and influence health and safety outcomes in their workplace.
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Identify the main provisions of the legislation governing health and safety in the workplace.
- Describe the duties of the various stakeholders that influence WHS.
- Outline the role of unions and WHS entry permit holders under the WHS Act; HSRs, Health and Safety Committees (HSCs) and other authorized representatives.
- Describe the powers of HSRs issuing PINs and directing the ceasing of unsafe work.
All our trainers are qualified and experienced WHS Consultants who have worked across many industry sectors. As such, they will call on examples of both the right way and wrong way to perform the required skills in a non-threatening or judgemental way.
