Manual Handling Awareness
This half day training course is aimed at creating an awareness and understanding around workplace manual handling tasks in an effort to prevent injuries. This course will help participants to identify and apply management strategies for dealing with manual handling in the workplace.
This course will provide participants with:
- An understanding of manual handling principles and how the legislation and code of practice relate to manual handling.
- Hazard identification and risk assessment around manual handling.
- The skills to develop manual handling action plans and apply control measures.
- An understanding of the physical impact and the effects it can have on an individual.
All our trainers are qualified and experienced Consultants who have worked across many industry sectors. As such, they will call on examples of both the right way and wrong way to perform the required skills in a non-threatening or judgemental way.
Our trainers use relevant case studies to bring both a problem-oriented and solution-oriented way of thinking to workplace training, and assists in relating theory into the workplace.
